The South of England Showground will host its first ever open-air movie nights this summer, screening Mamma Mia on Friday 23rd August and The Greatest Showman: Singalong on Friday 20th September.
Held in conjunction with Cinestock, film lovers will be treated to amazing live music performances and mouth-watering food and drink*, whilst sitting back and relaxing to watch the sun set over the wonderful 150-acre countryside venue before the films starts.
Guests can bring their own seating or choose one of the event’s VIP hassle-free seating options with garden chairs, pillows and blankets.
Parking on site will be free and tickets for each screening cost from just £8 for children and £12 for adults in advance (higher gate rate on the night/s). Discount packages for multiple adults and family options are available. *Food and drink is not included in ticket price.
Iain Nicol, CEO of the South of England Agricultural Society which owns the Showground, said:
“We are delighted to be hosting our first ever open-air movie nights at the Showground this summer. The benefit of our venue’s space is its flexibility to adapt to a wide range of different events, so it’s wonderful to be able to add film nights to our already diverse calendar of events.
“Both Mamma Mia! and The Greatest Showman are great movies for our first adventure into outdoor cinema. They are both huge hits with families and adults alike so whether it’s a family treat, a girl’s night out, or a date night – there’s something for everyone. With the added benefit of our stunning views to watch the sunset, live music performances before each screening, and fantastic food and VIP seating options, both dates are sure to be fantastic nights to remember.”
