Animal Adventures

At our Animal Barn, you can meet and learn about many different animals. Admire the different breeds of sheep and see what you can find at the Poultry Display. Get involved in our Fun Dog Show which owners can enter on the day, and if you’re in search of the extraordinary, you can learn about reptiles or visit the Alpaca Show which is always a big hit!

Animal Barn

In the Animal Barn you can find a range of owners and their livestock, including Dexter Cattle, Jacob Sheep, White Faced Woodlands, Kune Kune Pigs and more. Enjoy meeting the animals and learning about a number of breeds.

The Alpaca Show

See these charming and friendly creatures compete in the South of England Alpaca Show. With Colour Champions followed by the Supreme Championship for Best in Show, along with awards for Supreme Huacaya and Supreme Siri and Best of British Bred.  You can meet the breeders and the alpacas and learn more about these enchanting animals who provide the softest and finest fleeces to the UK fibre industry.

Poultry Display

Come and see the wonderful range of breeds at the Arun Valley Poultry Fanciers Society display. Ask questions and talk to the experts to find out more about poultry life.

Rabbits

Come and see a wide variety of breeds of rabbit courtesy of Sussex Coast Rabbit Club and see the winners from their show. Plus get information on how to care for them – you can even buy a rabbit to take home.

East Sussex Reptile & Amphibian Society

Did you ever wonder how a snake breathes while eating? Or how long a chameleon’s tongue is? Or what is the longest snake in the world? To find out all this and more, come and see the display and learn all this while seeing and handling some wonderful exotic animals in a safe and fun environment with enthusiastic experts who have a real passion for these animals. You can also find out how these animals are helping to advance medicine and technology.

New! Pygmy Goat Show

Moved from the South of England Show, prepare for a heartwarming experience by the endearing personalities and playful antics of pygmy goats. Featuring 12 classes: Junior handler, pet class, female kid, male kid, Goatling, Buckling, adult female, adult male, veteran (female over 6), veteran (male over 6), Dam and off-spring from previous class, sire and progeny from previous class.
Judging will begin at 10am on Saturday. Visit on the Sunday for talks on these adorable creatures beginning at 10am.

Fun Dog Show
(Sunday only)

Dogs are very welcome to come along and enjoy Spring Live! with their owners and we have a fun dog show with entry on the day of £2 per dog per class. Classes will cover Golden Oldie (over 10), Best Handled by a Child, Most Beautiful Bitch & Handsome Hound, Dog with the Waggiest Tail, Best Rescue, Best Trick, Dog Most Like its Owner, and Best in Show for all the winners from the previous categories. Plus new this year, Best Pair and Best Heelwork. Rosettes will be awarded for 1st – 6th place with prizes for 1st and 2nd and a trophy for Best in Show.
