The South of England Agricultural Society is proud to announce that HRH The Duchess of Cornwall will be its President in 2017, the Society’s 50th anniversary year.
Charlie Burgoyne, Chairman said: “We are so pleased to announce HRH The Duchess of Cornwall’s Presidency in our 50th anniversary year. The Society is a great institution supporting farming and country life in the region and 2017 will no doubt bring many opportunities to celebrate! Events such as the South of England Show provide some of the best opportunities in the South to recognize the importance of those who work in the countryside and their management of our beautiful landscape.”
Promoting innovation and education in agriculture and showcasing the best examples of horticulture, land based industries and the rich produce of our countryside will remain the Society’s priorities throughout 2017.
The Society works closely with agricultural colleges across the six counties in which it operates, Berkshire, East Sussex, Hampshire & the Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey and West Sussex supporting and nurturing the next generation of farmers.
