Horticulture Competitions at the South of England Show
Garden Design Competition
The Garden Design Competition is open to anyone of any age. Entries can be from individuals, groups, classes, schools and after-school clubs and are for a 5 x 5m area of grassland.
The theme for 2025 is ‘New House New Garden’.

Growing in Containers Competition
This competition is open to children aged 4-11 years old. Entries can be a team/class or individual effort.Â
Entries must be received by 26th May 2025

A new addition to our horticultural competitions for the South of
England Show is our hanging basket competition.
Deadline for entries were the 26th May 2025
NEW Floral Competition
The theme is ‘Welcome to your new home!’
This competition is open for all ages. Please apply to the correct category according to your age.
Entries must be received by 26th May 2025
