See the Bodle Angling team from Bodle Bros demonstrate their skills in the countryside ring. Their specialist team have extensive knowledge on fishery science and many types of fishing not just in the UK but across Europe.  If you are a fishing enthusiast or a complete novice, you’ll be sure to find their display informative and entertaining.

Archery & Axe throwing

All ages can channel their inner Robin Hood and try their hand at archery under the expert supervision of Joe’s Bows.  Or those aged 10+ can have a go at the traditional country sport of axe throwing.

Cost: £4 per 6 arrows or axes

Laser Clay Shoot

Although we can no longer have a clay shoot at the Autumn Show due to the number of horses now on site as part of the South of England International Horse Trials, you can have a go at laser clay.  The clay system uses standard but deactivated 12-bore shotguns with built-in infrared technology.  The guns feel and shoot like the real thing but without the recoil and bruises!  For ages 10+.

Cost: £4 per 10 clays

BASC

Come and meet the team from the British Association for Shooting & Conservation for information and advice on game and deer management, firearms and membership. And you can have a go at their shooting simulator with proceeds going to the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust.

Cost: £2 for shooting simulator ‘have a go’
