Information for Disabled Visitors





Entrances

Disembarking areas are available at Blue and Green Gate Entrances.

Car Parking

Only those vehicles displaying the recognised disability sticker (either the approved Social Services sticker or the South of England Agricultural Society Disabled car park pass) will be given priority. If a pass is not displayed then visitors will be parked in the first available car park.

Wherever possible badge holders will be given forward parking in all car parks subject to availability, but it is advisable to arrive early. Forward car parking cannot be guaranteed after 10am. Forward car parking subject to availability.

A forward area will also be reserved for the special Society Disabled car pass. If you require a Society disabled pass please apply to the South of England Agricultural Society giving details of your disability and send a copy of your Social Services approved disabled sticker.

Toilets

Toilets for the disabled are provided within the main toilet blocks as follows:-

  • Blue Gate Entrance
  • Red Gate Entrance
  • Eco-Toilet Block (Central Location)

And within the following buildings:-

  • Norfolk Pavilion (Member's facility)
  • Queen's Jubilee Hall (Close to Green Gate Entrance)

First Aid

First Aid is provided by the British Red Cross and Sussex Ambulance. There are various points located around the ground and a First Aid Centre with full medical cover.

Wheelchairs

Wheelchair loan is available from the British Red Cross First Aid Posts at Blue and Green Gate public entrances. Please call 01435-861102. A £25 deposit will be required.

Care Centres Limited will be providing powered wheelchair loan/hire.  Please call 01903 821515 for pre-booking.  Care Centres Limited are located at Site Block 10 Stand A close to Blue Gate.

Better Life Mobility will also be providing powered wheelchair loan/hire and can be contacted on 01342 717403 for pre-booking.  Better Life Mobility are located at Site Block 15 Stand A close to Green Gate.



School parties are welcome at the Show on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th June.

Come and meet "Buttercup", our very own life-size cow and have a go at milking her.

Take a guided tour - these can be arranged to suit your particular interests

Meet the animals, watch the birds of prey fly, try fly-casting, find out where food comes from, go pond dipping, see the sheep shearers, blacksmiths, farriers and others at work
