British Sugarcraft Guild

British Sugarcraft Guild
The objectives of the Guild are to promote and stimulate interest in sugarcraft as an art form, to share knowledge and develop and improve standards.  There will be a selection of Sugar Art on display in the Food Hall and demonstrations by teachers from the Southdown region plus a range of books and other information on the subject.

Horticultural Exhibits

Horticultural Exhibits

More than 25 different nurseries will be taking part in the Show and will be able to offer expert advice and information on everything from common everyday plants to rare blooms as you choose what to purchase for your garden in 2010.

Flower arrangers from the Sussex group of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies will be showing people how to make a nosegay, or small posy, using flowers and herbs – historically used to ward off bad smells! The winning entries in a photographic competition organised by the Association will also be on display in the Abergavenny Building.

Petworth Town Band

Petworth Town Band
The aim of the Petworth Town Band is to encourage all to enjoy playing music together and is a friendly and welcoming group for young and old. There is provision for learning an instrument as a complete beginner and instruments are loaned to members at no cost. Many band members joined when their children started playing and have gone on to become staunch supporters and players.

The Band is one of the few that still plays on the march and this can be seen on Remembrance Day and at the Gold Cup Polo where they have played for many years.

Did You Know ? From Dog Show to Caravan Rallies, Gardening Shows to Auctions, all sorts of events are held at the Centre.
