Experience South America - In The Heart Of Mid-Sussex! - 04/05/2008

The pulsating sights and sounds of South America will be coming to the heart of the Sussex countryside at the Spring Garden & Leisure Show, being held at Ardingly on May 4 and 5.
Peruvian band Kausary will be bringing the music of the Andes to the popular show, along with a colourful exhibition on the culture of Peru.
Dancers in vibrant costumes will be performing traditional dances, including the Diablo, or 'Devil's Dance'.
The music, dance and exhibition will provide the perfect backdrop to the show's Llama and Alpaca competition, which is one of the largest in Europe.

The llamas and alpacas, which originate from South America, are always a big hit at the show and the exhibition will help people learn more about them. Visitors will be able to see how their fleece is spun and woven into garments, along with taking a close look at national costumes, musical instruments such as pan pipes, and traditional art.
These are just some of a range of May Bank Holiday attractions at the Spring Garden & Leisure Show, held at the South of England Centre.
More than 1,000 dogs, of all breeds, will be taking part in a fabulous Open Dog Show, which is an integral part of the Show and is a qualifier for Crufts - it attracts top breeders and dogs from across the region.
A gardening roadshow will provide inspiration for spring and summer gardens, with a panel of experts from the English Garden Magazine on hand to answer questions.
Displays by horticulturalists, designers and flower arrangers also promise a wealth of creative ideas and practical tips and the event will showcase leisure and recreational activities.
Deborah Barber, Director of the South of England Agricultural Society said: "We aim to offer something for everyone at the Spring Garden & Leisure Show and the Peruvian musicians and dancers will add a colourful dash of Latin America to our line-up."
The Show is held at the South of England Centre, Ardingly, four miles north of Haywards Heath, on Sunday 4 and Monday 5 May.
Gates open from 9am to 5pm
Admission prices: adult £6, child £3, senior citizens/student £5, family ticket £15.
