Bringing Farming People
Together Across Europe
Eurolink
Eurolink

The unique Eurolink Scheme run by the South of England Agricultural Society, has been responsible over the past 20 years for sending over 200 farming couples on exchange visits to Europe, fostering understanding and good relationships with our friends across the Channel. The scheme has now been updated to fall into line with the current situation the agricultural industry finds itself in.

In future, participants (referred to as Agricolae) will be asked to study a specific aspect affecting their business, this year the chosen subject is Maize Production, future topics will cover a wide variety of matters relating to Agriculture, Forestry, Viticulture, Horticulture, Estate Management, Land-based tourism, Smallholdings, Equipment supply and Fisheries.

The Scheme takes in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Portugal and Spain.

Participants exchange for up to a week with their European counterparts at a mutually agreed time, providing the exchange takes place during the same twelve-month period. On return a report for future reference, providing a valuable insight into different farming cultures and practises, this will be of use to other interested parties, Students, Sponsors, etc.

Interested?

Then do not miss this opportunity to investigate your chosen subject in Europe and exchange with Continental Producers matters of mutual benefit. See how they cope with the similar problems and the workings of their business.

The Scheme is run by the Eurolink Committee who operate an International Pavilion, kindly sponsored by Strutt & Parker, at the Society’s Annual Show in June each year, where advice and help about the Scheme is readily available, many previous Agricolae are always at hand, so please come and talk with us at the Show.
